Misunderstood - Mini Niley Story Part 2.
|
"Should we start today?" he suddenly asked me, stopping me before I got to my spot "Uh...Huh?" I stuttered back "I'm talking about the project. Let's start on it today. Because if you don't...you'll start freaking out. Meet me tonight in the library." With that, he walked off.LATER THAT NIGHT My friends and I had finished eating dinner and headed back to our dorms. It wasn't until I collapsed onto the couch that I remembered about meeting Nick in the library for our project. I quickly stood up and went into the bathroom to brush my teeth. Grabbing my bag , keys and cell phone, I stumbled to the door to try and hurry my way there since I was a little late. "Hey, Miley, Where are you going?" one of my friends asked "I have to meet someone. Sorry. I'll be back soon!" I shouted back to them as I was walking out the door. As I ran to the library, many thoughts swarmed my head. A part of me was asking why I was even going. Another part of me thought that he wouldn't even be there. Then another part of me wanted to go just in case. Even if it was like this...I got to see him...got to hear his voice...But now, if only I could get to see him smile and laugh again.*FLASHBACK* *Doorbell rings* Opening the door, in front of me, I saw Nick wearing an apron and a skewed chef's hat, carrying several bags of flour, packets of icing and other decorations for baking in his arms. I immediately smiled and let out a small laugh at his appearance. He smiled hugely at me and said "We'll be okay if we have this much right?" I nodded my head, still smiling, letting him inside The baking was only for my sister's graduation party, but he still wanted to help and even went all out, dressing up. I couldn't help but smile and laugh the whole time because of his skewed chef hat with his dorky glasses on and a polka dotted apron. "You don't like to wear odd things...why the sudden chance?" I asked "Because I wanted to make it fun. Why? Do I not look good?" "No, you do. I'm seeing a whole new side of you today." "Hey, but since I'm doing this in front of you only, you should feel honored." He replied "Okay, okay. I got it, thanks." I said We set everything on the counter and began to bake. The dessert for the graduation party all depended on me and Nick and the number of things we had to make were very, very high. We decided to start on different things, I would be doing cupcakes and he would be doing cookies."Want to try some?" Nick asked, sticking out a finger to me that had cookie dough on it I opened my mouth and took the piece of cookie dough off his finger with my teeth, purposely biting his finger in the process. "Ah~OW! HEY! It hurts~!" He said, trying to pull his finger away from my mouth I laughed, giving him an instant chance to pull his finger away. "Then why'd you give it to me?" I responded He smirked "Just watch...I'll get you back..." A few silent minutes passed as we both continued with our baking, except we were eyeing each other's every move to make sure one wouldn't get the other. We couldn't keep straight faces at all. When I took my cupcake pan into the oven and turned back around after closing the oven door, I got greeted with frosting all over my face. "You're right, Of course we'll be fine if we have this much." I replied I grabbed a handful of flour in my hand and shot it back at him for payback. Frosting and flour were flying back and forth as we tried getting back at the other. That is, until my mom came in and was surprised at the mess we made. "What is all this? Clean this up right now!" she said "Yes..." We both answered As she left the kitchen, we both burst out laughing. We both watched after her, even after she turned the corner and went into the other room. I then felt Nicks arms around me, in a hugging / holding sort of way. I looked up at him, still smiling and he had the biggest smile on his face and was yet, still laughing. With Nick, it was kind of rare to see him show all of his teeth, or just to see him smiling and laughing so much in general. As I looked up at him, I noticed how amazing he looked, flawless, adorable. It made my smile go even bigger.*END OF FLASHBACK* I walked inside the building as it was dimly lit. Making my way to the center of the library, I saw a shadow sitting at a table. I let out a breath of relief before I started to make my way towards him.tbc.Comment? (:
